Hobbytech CRX18 Grey

The CRX 18 is a 1/18-scale replica of the CRX, the iconic model from our brand. 

This mini crawler is designed like a 1/10-scale model: it features a metal ladder-frame chassis, a centrally mounted transmission (positioned slightly toward the front) with a low-mounted motor, and two axles, each connected to the chassis by four links. 

The micro steering servo is a 3-wire model with a standard connector. To lower the center of gravity as much as possible, it is mounted on the front axle (AMS configuration). Power is provided by a 55T micro brushed motor. 

The CRX18's electronics include an all-in-one module (receiver–ESC) with nine ports for connecting a complete lighting system with turn signals and brake lights. The CRX comes with two LED headlights that can be controlled using the radio system. The battery is a 2S 600 mAh pack that provides several hours of runtime. 

In terms of appearance, the CRX18 is a faithful replica of its larger sibling. The axles have the same design as those on the CRX2. The body shell features the same grille and accessories (jerry can, snorkel, windshield wipers, and mirrors). The tires are exact replicas of the Climber tires. One nice detail: the running boards have a slot that holds the bottom edge of the body shell to help protect it from obstacles.

A wide range of optional upgrades will be available to improve the CRX18's performance or appearance, including ball bearings and oil-filled shock absorbers.

The CRX18 can be driven indoors or outdoors and is equally at home in small and large spaces. Its crawling capabilities are impressive. On rocks, its light weight, balance, and effective tires help it overcome incredible obstacles. The radio system lets you adjust the throttle and steering end points. Adjusting the throttle lets you fine-tune control and adapt the CRX18's speed to the terrain and obstacles.
