Survival body shell

The Survival body shell, with its iconic grille, has been featured on the CRX since the first version. For the launch of the CRX 2, we decided to keep our icon while giving it a fresh look with a Long Cab design.

The CRX 2.1 Kit

Compared with the CRX 2, this new version includes new driveshafts that are much stronger than the previous models, as well as running boards specific to the body shell you choose. 

The CRX 2 at a glance

Following the success of the first CRX version, we set out to develop a new chassis that would be even more capable while remaining just as realistic. Drawing on our experience in scale RC, we designed a modern vehicle that meets the expectations of the most demanding hobbyists. The CRX 2 is now a proven, well-established platform. 

The axles are stylish and realistic. The transmission features an anti-torque-twist function. To optimize the steering angle, we offer steering knuckles with a 0° Ackermann angle (the wheels remain parallel when turning). 

The CRX 2 is equipped with aluminum shock absorbers with internal springs. They add a great deal of realism, but above all, deliver excellent crawling performance. Depending on the spring positions, you can set up the suspension for droop or semi-droop. The vehicle has a low center of gravity to improve traction, while allowing the wheels to drop down to find the traction and grip needed.

A PANHARD bar can be added to the hub carriers if required by your custom setup.

By changing the link lengths (see optional upgrade parts) and the chassis mounting points, you can adjust the chassis wheelbase. 

Adjustable wheelbase

The adjustable wheelbase makes it possible to fit a wide range of body shells on the CRX2.

Multi-position battery tray

You can choose from different battery positions depending on the desired performance. The system also accommodates different battery sizes.

0° ACKERMANN

The new steering knuckles and CVD driveshafts provide a 0° Ackermann angle. The wheels remain parallel when turning, which improves the steering angle.

Anti-Torque-Twist System

To prevent torque twist (a wheel lifting during acceleration), the new drivetrain allows the center driveshafts to rotate in opposite directions. The CRX2 can deliver much greater stability and efficiency.

Designed and manufactured by Hobbytech, this tire provides your scale RC vehicle with excellent traction. This tire is a hit with hobbyists! It is compatible with the TRX4. It comes with a foam insert and fits 1.9 wheels.

Complete 90 mm Wolf-Type Shock Absorbers

“Wolf” shock absorber setup for the CRX2:

Recommended setup = semi-droop: small soft spring on the bottom and a medium-sized soft spring on top.

Scale-realism setup = droop: medium-sized soft spring on the bottom and a small soft spring on top.

Lubrication = fill part of the shock body with very light silicone oil (100 cSt, for example).
